The Decision by Wahid Sanouji

One morning Karim receives a text message on his phone. All of a sudden he has to make a decision which turns his life upside down.

Director’s statement
Wahid Sanouji: “To this day Homosexuality is a difficult topic amongst certain groups of the Moroccan community in the Netherlands. People might tolerate it to a certain extent, as long as it doesn’t occur within their own circle. Gay men in Moroccan and Muslim communities have a lot of trouble coming out and discussing this openly with their friends and famil because homosexuality is still considered a taboo. I am heterosexual myself, but I think we need discuss about sensitive topics such us homosexuality. This is why I made this film”.
